Experience

Through my career as a freelance translator and my previous employment with large Danish companies within several different businesses and with English as the corporate language, I have gained extensive experience with translating legal, financial, commercial and IT technical texts. My experience includes:    -          Since 2006, freelance translator, primarily translating for major translation agencies and communication consultants. I have translated all types of texts, including technical, pharmaceutical, IT, marketing, legal and financial texts.          I use the CAT-tools (Computer Aided Translation) Trados, Wordfast and         DéjàVu.         I am certified by the Danish Commerce and Companies Agency and a         member of the Danish Association of State-Authorised Translators and         Interpreters. I can therefore perform certified and legalized translations         under the protection of  legislation and professional indemnity insurance.    -          3 years in the IT department of a leading Danish pharmaceutical company, which has given me extensive experience with IT technical translations and proof-reading.   -          3 years as an Executive Assistant to the English-speaking management of a global company within travel retail, where I was responsible for all company communication and reporting.   -          7 years in the department of Acquisitions & Financial Control in a large Danish corporation, with extensive English internal management reporting and external communication with lawyers, auditors and financial institutions.   -          3 years within the legal business, where I translated many different types of legal documents.
